This hands-on science course, designed for the student’s independent use, presents human anatomy and health in an up-to-date, full-color, and beautifully pro-life stand-alone worktext.
The first half of this worktext focuses on human anatomy, including:
- The function and location of most of the organs God has designed in the human body
- The nervous, circulatory, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, digestive, and urinary systems
- The Human Body Felt Project, an inexpensive and informative capstone project
The second half of the course provides an overview of nutrition, health, and First Aid from a Catholic perspective. In simple, clear terms, the course explains:
- Nutrients and how to create a balanced diet
- Disease prevention
- Hygiene
- Posture
- Exercise
- Basic First Aid treatments for a variety of medical situations, from bug bites to frostbite
